We just held a successful workshop on the legal aspects of Generative AI, addressing questions such as:
- If I “create” something with GenAI, who is the author – myself or the developer of the GenAI software?
- If I use the generated result, am I reproducing the copyrighted works used to train the AI?
- Which laws and other legal texts apply to the use of GenAI, and do we need a new law to regulate its use?
This workshop was organized within the Brown Bag Series by Università della Svizzera italiana (USI) and Scuola universitaria professionale della Svizzera italiana (SUPSI) in Lugano on the 25th of April 2024.
