Webinar: Copyright & Social Media

Tue, 26 June 2018 11:00

DESCRIPTION

What happens in terms of copyright when I upload my work on a social media channel? How, and to what extent can I use, re-use or re-post works in my Internet environment? How can I manage my copyrights in this particular world where information is spread, shared, replicated and copied on a large scale and at a fast train? How can I for example correctly exploit social media to promote my research activities?

The digital revolution modifies the habits of the users but also the offer in terms of social media. How does copyright law apprehend these new challenges?

This webinar will focus in the first instance on the rights that must be taken into account when using social media. In a second phase, the situation will be assessed from the different points of view of the author, the user and the social media operator in order to provide a complete panorama of the specific questions and challenges faced by copyright law in relation with social media.
